Paste the code or describe what the car is doing.

ODIS, VCDS, Autel, Launch, Topdon and generic scanners can display the same underlying fault differently. Search the P-code, VAG number or symptom exactly as you have it.

Known-fault approach

Recognise the problem before you send the unit.

People rarely search for the exact component name. They search for the warning on the dash, the gears they lost, or the code their diagnostic tool produced.

“Only even gears are working”

Common wording around DQ381 and DQ500 P1735 / P1736 fault families.

“Gearbox emergency mode”

May appear with loss of one gear set, intermittent recovery after restart or a fault that becomes more obvious once warm.

“DSG pump keeps running”

A common description of DQ200 hydraulic pressure-loss behaviour associated with P17BF / P189C and related faults.

“No communication with transmission”

DQ200 U0101 / 01315 is handled through our dedicated TCMRepair electronics service.

“PRNDS flashing / car went into neutral”

Useful DQ200 symptom language when drive or hydraulic pressure is lost.

“Garage says I need a new mechatronic”

Check the exact DTC first. A known component-level failure may be repairable without replacing the complete unit.

Fixed-price model
